Technical Data:
When tested against the National Sanitation Foundations Standard No. 53 Drinking Water Treatment Units Health Effects, the ecoONE Hose Filter water treatment unit met all requirements of the standard.

Filter Media Test:
 Input turbidity: 12 TU
 Effluent turbidity: Initial: 0.8 TU
 Effluent turbidity: 50%: 0.9 TU

Unit test:
 Model: ecoONE Hose Filter
Capacity: Up to 40,000 Gallons (depending on source water quality)
 Flow Rate: 2 GPM
 Temp range: 35F-100F
 Working pressure range: 20-100 psi

The ecoONE Hose Filter is a combination of granular activated carbon (GAC) and a patented reduction/oxidation media that is classified by the EPA as a bacteriostatic. The combined media reduces or eliminates these contaminants:

Heavy Metals:

 Mercury
 Lead
 Iron
 Copper
 Cadmium
 Barium
 Chromium VI
 Chromium III
 Salenium

Other Contaminants:
Volatile Organic Contaminates (VOCs)

 Hydrogen sulfide
 Chlorine and its byproducts (THMs)
 Fluoride
 Nitrate
 Arsenic
 Endrin
 Lindane
 Methoxychlor
 Toxaphene
 Silvex

The ecoONE Hose Filter has been tested to applicable NSF 42 & 53 standards by an independent lab to reduce and/or eliminate all contaminants listed. There are hundreds of other contaminants that the filter reduces and/or eliminates.

Calcites and lime/scale:
The ecoONE Hose Filter alters the molecular structure of calcite which inhibits its clinging capability. Calcium ions are removed from the water which changes calcite lime/scale deposits into aragonite. This alteration causes the lime/scale to remain suspended in the water where it cannot cling to equipment.

Materials:
All materials used in the ecoONE Hose Filter are approved by the FDA for contact with foodstuffs including potable water. All thermoplastic/thermoset plastics used comply with the NSF standard 14.

Directions For Use:

Flush garden hose before use to remove sediment and contaminants.
Attach filter to hose and flush for one minute until water runs clear. Can be used effectively at either end of the garden hose.
Can be used with a sprayer attachment or sprinkler with a barely noticeable reduction in flow rate.
Save end caps for storage. STORE WET!
Do not allow filter to dry out as the media will harden and become ineffective. If end caps are lost, store in a plastic baggy in refrigerator.
Works best with a flow rate of 2GPM or less. For highly contaminated water, reduce flow rate to 1GPM.
If flow rate slows, back-flush filter to remove sediment buildup.
If its not possible to back-flush filter, place female end in a bucket of clean water and shake to loosen blockage from media.

Test Hose Filter for exhaustion:

Attach the unit to a source of chlorinated water and test the output with a chlorine test strip, readily available at any pool and spa supply store. Chlorine level should read at or near 0. Your Hose Filter will last between 8,000 and 40,000 gallons, depending on care, use and initial water contamination.
