EcoOne Spa Monthly - Getting Started
Why Spa Owners Choose EcoOne
A Simpler Way to Care for Your Hot Tub
EcoOne is designed for spa owners who want dependable water care without turning every soak into an advanced chemistry experiment.
1
Comfortable for Spa Owners
EcoOne was developed as an alternative for people who found ordinary spa-care programs harsh, drying or unnecessarily complicated.
2
Thoughtful Ingredients
The EcoOne system focuses on straightforward products that support a cleaner and more inviting hot tub environment.
3
Easy and Effective
Clear instructions and a streamlined maintenance schedule help take the uncertainty out of caring for spa water.
Initial Spa Setup
Quick-Start Instructions
Complete these steps before beginning the normal EcoOne monthly maintenance schedule.
1
Clean the Filter
Remove all filter cartridges and clean them thoroughly with EcoOne Filter Cleanser. Do not replace them at this time.
2
Fill the Spa
Fill the spa or use the existing water if the tub is already full.
3
Add Pipe Cleanser
Add one-half bottle of EcoOne Pipe Cleanser directly to the spa water.
4
Run the Jets
Operate the jets on high speed for one to two hours.
5
Drain and Rinse
Drain the spa completely and thoroughly rinse the shell.
6
Refill With Fresh Water
Refill the spa with fresh, filtered water. Using a hose pre-filter and metal-control product are recommended.
7
Reinstall the Filter
Return the cleaned filter cartridges to the spa.
8
Heat the Spa
Heat the water to the spa’s normal operating temperature, generally 100°F to 104°F.
9
Balance the Water
Test and balance the spa’s pH and total alkalinity. Do not use Perfect pH or pH Balance products with this system.
10
Add ONEshock
Add two to three capfulls of ONEshock directly to the spa water.
11
Add EcoOne Monthly
With the jets and blower running, add one entire bottle of EcoOne Spa Monthly.
12
Circulate and Enjoy
Allow the spa to circulate for 10 to 15 minutes.
First-Time and Heavily Contaminated Spas
For a first EcoOne treatment, a brand-new spa, a newly purchased used spa or a heavily contaminated spa, use the entire bottle of Pipe Cleanser and allow it to work for up to 24 hours. Cloudy water, foam or loosened debris may appear while the plumbing is being cleaned. This is normal and shows that accumulated residue is being removed.
Ongoing Spa Care
Your EcoOne Maintenance Schedule
Once the initial setup is complete, follow this simple routine to help maintain clean and comfortable spa water.
After Using the Spa
Maintain With ONEshock
For maximum results, add one capful of ONEshock after using the spa. Run the jets for three to five minutes to circulate the water.
Weekly
Shock and Rinse
Add one to two capfuls of ONEshock directly to the water. Remove the filter cartridge, rinse it thoroughly with a garden hose and reinstall it.
Every 30 Days
Add EcoOne Monthly
Add a new bottle of EcoOne Spa Monthly every 30 days. Clean the filter cartridge with EcoOne Filter Cleanser or another approved cartridge-filter cleaner.
Every 3–4 Months
Drain, Clean and Refill
Drain and clean the hot tub, then refill it with fresh water. Perform a plumbing cleanse every third or fourth draining, approximately once per year.
Never Use Soap-Based Products on a Spa Filter Cartridge
Soap residue can create foam and interfere with spa-water quality. Use a cleaner specifically designed for hot tub filter cartridges.
